Indians Sign Joba Chamberlain

The Cleveland Indians today announced the club has signed free agent RHP JOBA CHAMBERLAIN to a Minor League contract with a non-roster invitation to Major League spring training camp.

Chamberlain, 30, owns a career Major League record of 25-21 with 7 saves over 365 outings and 43 starts since debuting with the New York Yankees in 2007. He split the 2015 campaign between the Detroit and Toronto organizations before wrapping up the season with the Kansas City Royals.  He was the 41st overall pick in the 2006 First-Year Player Draft by the Yankees out of the University of Nebraska.

The Indians and Chamberlain have a little bit of history as the Indians tweeted.

Joba Chamberlain and Cleveland will always be linked because of the cloud of midges that swarmed him on the mound during the Indians-Yankees playoffs series in 2007

Announcement

Just wanted to keep everyone up-to-date with what has been going on with me in the last couple of weeks.

I accepted two new positions. One will be for a Stadium Journey writing job. If you don’t know what Stadium Journey is then you are missing out. Stadium Journey offers reviews of just about any type of stadium, field, ballpark you could hope for. That’s one of the main reasons why I decided  to write for them.

You can also find them on social media.

I have also accepted a Freelance position with Time Warner Cable Sports. Mainly helping out with the TV side of things. I will mainly be a Grip (Holding a Cable) and might get to operate a hand held camera as well.

I’m very excited about both of these new additions as it beefs up the resume. In addition to that I will still be very much involved with the great MiLB website 27outsbaseball.com

27outs is my passion and will always be my number one priority. I love everything about that website and the people behind it. I also love covering Triple-A international league for them and The Columbus Clippers. Thankful that Frank and Chris brought me on and have showed me the ropes. Stay tuned because we at 27outs have some great stuff planned for the baseball off-season.

I will also be co-hosting along with Chris Hogan at 27outs a Triple-A podcast next season. So stay tuned for that as well.

As far other stuff going right now. Well college is kicking my butt but I’m enjoying the college experience. I’m also learning the AP style of writing. So I can take my writing to the next step. With that said Thanksgiving is coming up so I hope everyone will have a safe and fun holiday.

Articles I’m Working On

I’m working on some articles for 27outsbaseball.

Columbus Clippers 2016 Schedule: One of the articles I’m working is the Clippers 2016 schedule. I will highlight what I think will be key series and promotions. When the schedule is released I will post a article about it.

Cleveland Indians 2016 Schedule: The Indians have already released their 2016 schedule. I will be writing a short article on the schedule and what I think will be key promotions. You can find the 2016 schedule HERE .

You can get all of your MiLB needs on 27outsbaseball.com. We will have a wide selection of podcast starting this off-season as well.

You can follow 27outs on twitter. @27_OutsBaseball You can also view our many pictures on intsagram View Photos here.

Plus I will be working on some more great articles in the future. Like how to plan for a short MiLB road trip. Also a new great product that I think all ballparks need. It’s called the MiLB Passport. I advise people go check out this great product all the time.
